“In the Darkness” by Jörgen Hjerdt is a newly written play set in darkness. “It is in a way timeless but also reflects the ongoing world situation,” says Källarbyn’s artistic director, film director Geir Hansteen Jörgensen. Åsa Kalmér and Kajsa Isakson are the directors of the play. Åsa received a fee from the Swedish Academy for translation to be able to play “In the Darkness” also in Ukrainian. On June 2, it will premiere in Swedish with Richard Forsgren and Nadja Mirmiran, and on June 15 with Kateryna Kisten and Olesia Vlasova who are Ukrainian actresses, in Sweden because of the war in Ukraine.
